Every new Mac comes with 90 days of telephone technical support and 1 year of service coverage at an Apple Authorized Service Provider. By purchasing the AppleCare Protection Plan with your Mac, you can extend your coverage to 3 years from the computers purchase date. Generally speaking, if you have one major repair within 3 years of purchasing your Mac, AppleCare will have paid for itself at least two-fold. AppleCare covers the cost of the diagnostic, parts, and all applicable labour for any qualifying repair over the course of the 3 year coverage period, at any Apple Authorized Service Provider anywhere in the world.
